So the major sites have restrictions on sharing lineups, so I cannot post my lineups before they go live, but once lineups lock at the start of the 1 PM games. I’m free to discuss what I did. Now the first question should be, “Why should I care about your lineups once they’ve locked? I can’t use them.” and its a fair one. The answer though is very straight forward, if my picks are all terrible, why would you listen to our podcast? By sharing my lineups on Sunday after you cannot use them and before games go final, you can decide for yourself.
Let’s start with a review of my Thursday picks. I rarely like to use Thursday picks but I still gave you some people I liked and people to avoid. I suggested Alex Smith and Kareem Hunt and man was I right there. I had no idea they would go so high. Way over the 3X indicator, was nice to see. I also recommended you fade both TEs and both came in under 10 points making them poor value. My only miss was on Chris Hogan who I thought would easily make value, but he was relatively quiet and I think got a total of 3 point or so. So 4 of the 5 recommendations I gave were good ones, thats a pretty good week,
Now on to my lineups. For DraftKings, I used: Carr, Hyde, Johnson, Brown, Goodwin, Wright, Graham, Miller and Steelers as my primary cash lineup. By going outside the chalk with Carr, Hyde, Goodwin and Wright; I was able to save up enough to use both Johnson and Brown who should provide a ton of points and may also have high ownership. Once I locked in Graham and the Steelers, I looked and had enough cap left to go grab Miller who had the best projection for what I had left. I did switch up one lineup where I substituted Ebron for Graham and that allowed me to upgrade Miller to Gurley.
I did throw together one tournament lineup just for kicks, but I only put it into a few freebie entries (I’m not a big tourney player, much better in cash). I used Hoyer, Gurley, Johnson, Brown, Garcon, Sanu, Walker, Murphy and Texans. Its really just a lineup that has potential and I’m curious to see how it does, lot of zero floor – high ceiling guys and its very hit or miss. We will have to see how it goes.
Whatever lineup you used this week, feel free to share it with us here in the comments or @fignutsdfs on Twitter. We would love to see what you did and if any of our suggestions from the podcast helped you out. Next up will be a week 1 review and Thursday night preview on or around Monday. Good luck and thanks for being a part of FigNation
