Here comes the sun! Well here comes the beer and the juice! ( No not O.J. ) Sun Juice is a Belgian Summer Ale by Stony Creek Brewery in Branford, CT.
Sun Juice is in the same line as Blue Moon with the idea of citrus and beer coming together. The flavors mix between grapefruit and orange with a finish of coriander. Stony Creek also adds in chamomile for some added complexly to the flavor.
Now I am one for citrus flavors in the summer. It just fits so well. The sunny warm days with a cold beer with the right about of sweetness. Just like how warmth of a Pumpkin beer belongs in the fall and not August! Damn it! Yes, I only drink/eat pumpkin related things in months ending in -ER but that’s a different post all together. Really though, being in New England we get the full experience of seasons changing and with that changing up the beer your drinking just adds to the experience of it. Sun Juice is defiantly staying in my seasonal rotation.
