Time to Start Down the Road 2 Ruin

Hi everyone, its Britt and I’m giving you my impressions on Road 2 Ruin by Two Roads Brewing Company. If you are local to Stratford, CT or traveling through the area, I highly recommend stopping by their facility. Their website is http://www.tworoadsbrewing.com and they are worth the visit.

Road 2 Ruin is their signature Double IPA and is produced year round. It was one of the first beers they produced and is my head and shoulders favorite of the year long beers available there. Road 2 Ruin is strong and you had better like IPAs if you are going to try this one. The biblical snake holding an apple appears on its neck label and is absolutely appropriate. First, once you taste it, you’ll never be going back, whether you love it or hate it, whether you’ve been a beer lover for years or are new to the craft market, whether you vote Democrat or Republican; you simply cannot untaste (is that a word, spell checker says it is not a word) this beer. Secondly, this beer has a bite that may remind you of s snake, it finishes very strong with hints of pine and extremely strong hops. If you do not like a ‘hoppy’ (really, hoppy is a word, but untaste isn’t) finish, this is not the beer for you. If you enjoy a strong Double IPA with a unique flavor, then its a must try. It has become the standard I judge all other IPAs by.

I have Road 2 Ruin rated at a 4.5 on UnTappd. It is a must try if you like strong IPAs and a pass by if you do not.
